Re-released as part of the Eye Q Classics series. The original version was a trance epic, but Sven Vath takes this track to another dimension.....wicked! Released 8/99 on Rough Trade/Jive. Written by A.C. Boutsen, Steve B. Zet and Vernon Jerome Price. Produced by The Wonderbrothers for Sugar Trips. The original EyeQ classic first released back in '94 gets a '99 makeover by ATB and the Wonderbrothers. I'm not quite sure why the name has been changed from 'Vernon's Wonderland' to 'Vernon's World - Wonderer', but it's the same tune nonetheless, and this time round some interesting vocals have been added (the sound of Seal is the most similar vocal I can think of) giving the tune a mainstream edge; If vocals aren't your thing then stick to the dub mixes. Any cop then? Well, the Original Mix and the Sven Vath Mix will always remain unbeatable classics, but these new remixes do add a new angle on the track and they are reasonably good. However, I've just dug out the original mixes, wiped of the dust, given it a good blast through the stereo and I have got to admit that it hasn't dated over the last 6 years and remains superior over these new remixes. Hence it was a good effort by ATB and the Wonderbrothers, but I know which version I'll be playing.
