Twofish

Twofish have been around in their current guise since about 1994. The three members of the band, Mark, Chuck and H, were writing together for some time prior to the formation of Twofish, having originally been part of a vaguely prog-rock outfit called Paradox in about 1990. Their first demo, released in 1995 under the name of Nurb, was awarded 'Top Tape' by Sound on Sound magazine. They have worked with Siren of FXU records, have done TV soundtrack work, and wrote the soundtrack for a short animated film The Northern Line, which won a commendation in the 1998 BAFTA student film awards. Since October 1998 they have dedicated two days a week to writing music; for the remainder of their working lives they are enslaved to various jobs in the computer industry to help keep financial body and soul together.

CDS: Twofish - The Uncertain-Tea Principle

[DEMO]
Twofish - The Uncertain-Tea Principle

Track Listing:

  1. Times Tablas (8.19)
  2. The Magic Fruit (7.10)
  3. Deep Base 9 (9.00)

All tracks written and produced by Twofish 1999 - 2000. The three tracks of this demo were written during the period 1999 -2000 and are a good representation of the bands current direction. Whilst difficult to tie down into any specific category, the influences include much of Peter Gabriels Real World label, some ambient and dance stuff (Jam & Spoon, Banco De Gaia, William Orbit), and a number of Jazz and Blues musicians.
