Tranquility Bass

US based ambient dance and trip-hop pioneer Tranquility Bass was formed by Mike Kandel. In the early 90's he set up the 'Exist Dance' label with Tom Chasteen on which he released 'Cantamilla Issue No. 1', 'Cantamilla Issue No. 2' and 'They Come in Peace' 12" vinyls. His classic 'Mya Yadana' also featured on the compilation 'Excursions in Ambience' on Caroline Records. It wasn't until 1997 that his debut album 'Let The Freak Flag Fly' was released on Astralwerks, followed by the remix album 'Beep' featuring remixes by Ultramarine and Fatboy Slim.
