Trance and Progressive House - Artists T - Z
Listed on this page are various trance / progressive house singles and 12"s listed in alphabetical order (indexed by the first letter of the artists name). When I first started writing this site I grouped singles and 12"s together in this fashion as a fast means of cataloging tracks. These pages are now being slowly dissolved, with each individual artist and producer featuring on their own individual page, although this is taking some time to complete. In the mean time use the A - Z link bar below to skip to other pages on these A-Z pages. Please note that a full A-Z list of artists and producers featuring on this site can be found here.

12": Taylor - Slide[HKO32]
A '98 release on Hook Recordings.
The Original mix is a minimal trancey little number, whilst the Third Man mix subtly adds to the original making this mix superior.
| |||
12": T.B.R. - Trancewave[DMDDRIZLTD9903]
Released 8/99 on Drizzly Records (Germany). Produced by T.B.R. Composed by M. Schuy, O. Schulz and F. Fischhaber. This one is a huge uplifting trancer. Both mixes are equally as good, although the DJ Snowman & DJ Cyglas Mix is slightly more DJ friendly.
| |||
12": T.B.R. - You Know[ILLUM9801]
Released 4/00 on Illuminate Records. Produced by T.B.R. Composed by M. Schuy, O. Schulz and F. Fischhaber. 'You Know' is a worthy follow-up to last years 'Trancewave'. Both the T.B.R Original Mix of 'So Come On' and the DJ Snowman & DJ Cyglas Mix of 'You Know' are both quality uplifting tracks.
| |||
12": Technique - You + Me[CRE315T]
Released 8/99 on Creation Records. Produced by Stephen Hague. Mixed by Stephen Hague and Richard Norris. Backing vocals by Kirsty Hawkshaw. Track 1 remixed by Dronez (Harry "choo-choo" Romeo, Jose Nunez & Erick "more" Morillio). Track 2 remixed by Matt Darey.

12" / CD Single: The Entity - Hawaii / Flip de Trax[SPX001]
Released on Sphinx Records and distributed by ARD. Hawaii has great summer vibes in this slow cheesy steel guitar Hawaiian style track. Its very different (!), and will probably work well as an end of set track. And its definitely a stark contrast to that on the flip-side (Flip de Trax), which is a clever combination of acidic hard-trance with progressive house; one minute its banging acid trance, the next its uplifting piano melodies. A strange combination - yet it works well. The CD single sports the following promo hype: "Pop music should be fun, more than an exercise in marketing to a demographic. You hear a tune, you tap yer toes, bop around the shop and intuitively you want it played on the radio cos you know it will make everyone else feel the same way. Now you can't get it off the brain. You're hooked and you want another fix. What is that? Where can I buy it? Ladies and gentlemen, THIS IS ONE OF THOSE. A big, fat HIT. It's a one-off with no reason to exist other than it is the right moment and
people from six to sixty love it. This is the sound of Pineapplecore. Acid Hula bringing sunshine into your fading summer daze, in the great tradition of hit instrumental pop tunes with all the trimmings:hula dancers;leis, surreal video. Shake yer grass and make this
a hit through radio power. And have fun. -S.P."

12": The Other Benjamin - Cover the Sun[PROG010]
Released 11/99 on Progress Records. Written and produced by B. Constable. Remix by P. Wye, J. Foddy, R. Davidson. Engineered by Jools. This is a wonderful progressive houser with what sounds like a sample from a David Bowie track - I may be wrong but the vocal really sounds like his voice.
| |||
CD Single/12": Three Drives - Greece 2000[HOOJ70CD/HOOJ70CDX/HOOJ70F]
Released 1998 on Hooj Choons. Written and produced by Enrico and Ton TB. Vocals written by Steen Thottrup and Mads Arp. Sung by Jules Harrington.
| |||
12": Three Drives on a Vinyl - Greece 2000[ZYX8756R-12]
Released 12/99 on ZYX Music. Written and produced by Enrico and Ton TB.
| |||
12": Three Drives On a Vinyl - EP 2000[ACA9918-12]
Released 2000 on Acalwan. Tracks 1 & 2 written and produced by Enrico and Ton TB. Tracks 3 & 4 written by E. De Koning and T. van Empel and produced by Enrico and Ton TB. Additional remix on track 2 by G. Saccoman and M. Picotto (mixed by A. Remondini). Only the original version of Greece 2000 stands out as anything vaugely worth playing. Otherwise a bit of a turkey all round.
| |||
12": TinTinOut - What I Am/T.W.M[VCRT53]
Released 11/99 on VC Recordings (Virgin Records). Tracks 1 & 2 written by Withrow and Brickell. Produced by Tin Tin Out with vocals by Emma Bunton. Track 3 written and produced by Edwards and Stokes. 'What I Am' doesn't exactly fit into my area of dance of music, but over on the flip there is a superb trancey rework of 'T.W.M.' by DJ Jam X & De Leon (who turned 'Universal Nation' by Push into an anthem).
| |||
12": Tom Wax & Jan Jacarta - Wizards of Sound[TECHNO 014-12]
Released 4/00 on Technoclub. Music and words by Tom Wax and Jan Jacarta. Produced by T. Wedel & J. Friedrich. Two cuts of hard trance from Tom Wax and Jan Jacarta, with the Jan Jacarta mix standing out as the better mix.
| |||
12": Tom Wax & Jan Jacarta - Wormhole[SE12 009/SE12 009R]
Released 2000 on Southeast Recordings as 2x12". Licensed from Tetsuo Recordings (Germany). Written by T. Wedel & J. Friedrich. Produced by Tom Wax and Jan Jacarta. I've only got disc 2 of this excellent hard edged trancer (although this isn't as hard as 'Wizards of Sound'), where the Marino Stephano Mix stands out as the better of the two mixes.
| |||
12": Trance Action - Everlasting Dreams[DMDENG 050-1]
Released 8/00 on Energized Records (Germany). Written and produced by Luiz O' Brian & Oliver Nied. Vocals by Maja. For more info check www.trance-action.de. This is another one of those tear-jearker trance anthems - head straight for the Planet-Trax Mix and watch those hands in the air. The Radio Cut is more vocal based whilst the Oliver Nied Mix is slightly harder and less anthemic.
12": Transa - Behind the Sun[HKO36]
Released 12/98 on Hook Recordings. Written and produced by Dave & Brenden Webster. 'Behind the Sun' follows in the footsteps of the storming 'Enervate' and 'Prophase' 12"s on Perfecto. The original mix is a superb trancer that stands out over the remix.
| |||
12": Transa - Carla's Theme[HK043]
Released 8/99 on Hook Recordings. Written and produced by D. Webster and B. Webster.
| |||
12": Travel - Bulgarian[TIDY121T/TIDY121T2]
Re-Released 3/2000 on Tidy Trax. Written and produced by Laurent Gutbier. Produced and arranged by Lorren G. This is a storming double package from Tidy Trax, with quality remixes all round. However, its the Hyperlogic Remix remix that stands out, with excellent use of the uplifting chant combined with a pounding trancey bassline. Don't miss.
| |||
CDS: Travel - Bulgarian[ADICT068CD]
Released 1999 on BPM Dance. Written and produced by Laurent Gutbier. Produced and arranged by Lorren G. Thanks to Brian Harris for this information.
| |||
12": Travel - Pray to Jeruzalem[JX-630]
Released 1999 on Jink Records. Licensed from Discor Music France. Written and produced by Laurent Gutbier. Produced and arranged by Lorren G. Not quite in the same league as Bulgarian, but still a darn fine track. Similar paced to Bulgarian, this pounding trancer is based around a chant that sounds a little like Natacha Atlas. The Euphoriah Remix is the one to home in on, with all the elements in the right proportion. Here the pounding trancey bass line is met with a real fun uplifting melody that really skips along. In comparison, the Original Mix is left sounding a little inferior, whilst the Incisions Remix is much deeper, darker and more experimental sounding with added analogue fx. Well worth hunting out.
| |||
12": Tr Junior - Rock With Me[AL12008]
Released 7/99 on Amato International. Written & produced by T. Rapaciolo. This is quite a fun slice of progressive house featuring a really quirky melody. The Original Mix fades into insignificance when compared to the storming Lange Remix that really takes off and flies (plus not forgetting to mention the awful sample "Rock With Me" that sounds very dated and effectively ruins the Original Mix). This is yet another example of Lange's superb remix work - I can't stress enough what a superb job he's done here. Don't miss.
| |||
CDS: Tr Junior - Rock With Me[AICD011]
Released 7/99 on Amato International. Written & produced by T. Rapaciolo. See above for review. Thanks to Brian Harris for this information.
| |||
CD Single / 12": Two Fishes - Opera[3051185 / 3051186]
Released 9/99 on OmniSounds Records. (P) 1999 Triangle / (P) 1999 Satellite Records. Published by Drug Store Music. Written and produced by Emmanuel Top and Bruno Sanchioni. Not exactly 'Opera', but nonetheless this is a damn good trance tune from the same guys who brought us BBE. Thanks to Brian Harris for the additional information.
| |||
12": UKW - Hypnotic[DATA6]
Released 12/99 on Data (Ministry of Sound). Written and produced by U. Poppelbaum, R. Korn and W. van Eyden.
| |||
12": Veracocha - Carte Blanche[12TIV110]
Released 5/99 on Positiva Records. Written and produced by Vincent de Moor & Ferry Corsten. The Original Mix of 'Carte Blanche' first appeared on Deal Records [DEAL022] with a rather uninspiring flip side track titled 'Drafting'. However, Positiva have snapped up 'Carte Blanche' and licensed a remix by Origin (Anthony Mein and Dave Wood). However, as this typically sounding VdM track hurtles chart bound in the UK, it's still the original mix that does the business.
| |||
CDS: Veracocha - Carte Blanche[CDTIV-110]
Released 1999 on Positiva. Thanks to Brian Harris for this information.
| |||
12": Viagra - Secrets[CODA004]
Released '98 on Coda Recordings. Written and produced by Luke Stidworthy and Mike Cosford. An aptly titled name and a superb tune - very uplifting trance.
| |||
12": Vimana - We Came / Dreamtime[BH108-5]
Released '99 on Black Hole Recordings. Written and composed by DJ Tiesto and Ferry Corsten. Two quality trancers from Tisto and Corsten. 'We Came' is the harder of the two, whereas 'Dreamtime' plays more on the uplifting theme. Another strong release from the Dutch based Black Hole.
| |||
CDS: DJ Tiesto and Ferry Corsten [Vimana] - We Came[FMG 2037-2]
Released 2002 on Experience/Four Play Records. This duo also released these tracks under the guise of "Vimana" as a 12". The DJ
Tiesto and Ferry Corsten mix mix of We Came and Dreamtime is what features on that vinyl. The Dave Aude' Mix is worthy of a
replay.
| |||
12": Vincent de Moor - Flowtation[ZYX 8569-12]
Released on ZYX-Music in 1996. Another Dutch progressive house/trance classic that no music collection is complete without. 'Flowtation' was also released on XL Records with other mixes.
| |||
12" : Vincent de Moor - Flowtation[XLT 89]
Released on XL-Recordings in 1997 (Originally released in '96 on the same label). The Original Mix is still the best mix by far.
| |||
12": Vincent de Moor - Shamu[DEAL021]
Released 1/99 on Deal Records. Written and produced by Vincent de Moor. Don't miss this excellent 12" - the title track is an excellent slice of progressive house, but the real magic is over on the flip with the very bouncy, uplifting 'Spring Drops'. Better than Flowation in my humble opinion.
| |||
12": Voice of Africa - Hoomba Hoomba[RTTT027]
Released 1990 on Tam Tam Records. Conceived and produced by S. Lombardoni. Written by Van Hof. Turn the clocks back with this Balearic ambient gem. A different remix also features on the compilation 'Spiritually Ibiza II'.
| |||
12": Voyager - On a Mission[FRI 013/6]
Released 3/00 on Friendship Records. Written by Ingo Kunzi and Allen Michie. Track 1 produced by DJ Tandu and DJ Allan McLoud. Track 2 remixed by Onda Del Futuro. This is an excellent driving trancer from Ingo Kunzi (Ayla) with both cuts hitting the mark. Features electrified male spoken samples of a sample stating "On a mission from God".
| |||
12": Wisdom - Innocent World[EVENOVA001]
Released 6/99 on Eva Nova Records (Eve Records). Written and produced by Wisdom. Head straight for the club mix of this huge progressive houser - uplifting, superb and sublime. The Alternative Mix adds a slightly harder edge to the track whilst adding extra bounce to the beat resulting in a more interesting track. A quality debut for Eva Nova Records.
| |||
12": X-Cabs - Neuro 99[HK044 / HK045 / HKCDS44]
Released 10/99 on Hook Records. Written and produced by Chris Cowle. Released on 2x12" and on a limited album length CD single featuring all mixes.
| |||
12": X-Trance - Friends 2000[MODTR-003-12]
Released 11/99 on Modem Records (Germany). This is a classic trance track which unfortunately is a little on the hard side to find these days. Whilst the Dj Wag vs Y.O.M.C Remix is a little on the weak side, the other three remixes are superb, with the Fridge Remix standing out as the best of the bunch, sounding very similar 'Angel', which he released as a single earlier this year.
| |||
12": X-Trax - Plan94 (The Voyager)[PIED0007R]
Released 10/99 on Pied Piper Records. Written by Cassan, Giraldo, Intrieri and Jayti. Produced by Joe T Vannelli. This is a single sided limited edition vinyl that features a wonderful slow trancer that featured on Sasha and Digweeds 'Northern Exposure'.
| |||
12": Yahel & DJ Miss T - Skywalker/Going Up[AVANTI 401-5 12"]
Released 1999 on Black Hole Avanti. Written and composed by Yahel & DJ Miss T.
| |||
12": Yahel - Open Your Mind/Going Up[AVANTI 404-5 12"]
Released 4/00 on Black Hole Avanti. Track 1 written and composed by Yahel & DJ Miss T. Additional production by DJ Tiesto on track 1 & 3. Tracks 2 & 3 written and composed by Yahel. Two excellent trance remixes from DJ Tiesto - the original mix of 'Open Your Mind' is also a good track, only marred by an awful sounding build-up after the mid-track breakdown.
| |||
12": York - The Awakening[FESX60/562 380-1 / UN122]
Released 9/99 on Manifesto Records/Mercury Records. Written and produced by Torsten Stenzel and York Stenzel. Licensed from Subversive Records Ltd/Sony Music Entertainment (Germany) GmbH.
12": York - On The Beach / Reachers of Civilization[FESCD 70/568 891-2]
