12": The Shrink - Bit Staboi (I Love You)[NUT082]
Released 10/02 on Nutrition (Netherlands). Written and produced by R. Fiolet, H. J. Lookers & J. Nieland. Vocals by Kristina. This is a great pounding percussion lead trance tune, which is very minimalistic until the breakdown, which features Russian spoken vocals and atmospheric sweeping chords. The Jean Moiree Remix is far more melodic and trance orientated, with less emphesis on the percussion, whilst the Mark Norman Remix is more along the lines of the Original Mix, with added electro stabs. Three excellent mixes of a slightly unusual tune.

12": GTR vs The Shrink - Nervous Breakdown[NUT086 / PAC003]
Released 11/02 on Nutrition Records / Essential Dance Music (Netherlands). Written and produced by R. Fiolet and H. J. Lookers. Remixes produced by Gareth Emery. When the original version of 'Nervous Breakdown' was released back in 1995 it took dancefloors by storm. Now, GTR have revamped this classic and they've done a mighty fine job too. The Hard NRG UK Bootleg Mix is, as the title suggests, hard. All I can add to that is that its completly OTT. Enuff said. But its the GTR Trance Mix that first grabbed my attention when listening to this vinyl. All the emphesis of the tune is on that killer acid riff which is relentlessly hypnotic, whilst the underlying driving bass-line rolls onwards adding to the whole trance effect. At the time of writing this the GTR Trance Mix is a core tune in my sets and will probably remain that way for some time - not to be missed.
