Sunbeam / Chrome & Price
Sunbeam are the German duo Michael Gerlach and Florian Preis, also known as Chrome & Price. They hit the dance charts back in 1994 with their single, 'Outside World', which was re-released in 1999 with new mixes. They also records as part of the Trance Allstars, members of which include DJ Taucher, Talla 2XLC, ATB, DJ Mellow-D & Schiller.

Released 199? on Velvet Vibe Recordings, a division of Future Music GmbH. Written and produced by M. Gerlach and F. Preis. I'm not sure of the year of release of this vinyl as there is no date on it, but if memory serves me correct it was released sometime around 1995 as a series of vinyls on this label under the artist name of Chrome & Price. All three mixes are along the same vibe, although it's the Blue Eye Cut Mix that stands out as the best of the bunch. Whilst not exactly the fastest tune on the block (i.e slightly lower bpm than average), this tune is very uplifting and makes for a great early-in-the-evening trance anthem. Definitly one of Sunbeams best early trance releases.

This is a pounding new track from Sunbeam, with the Club Mix coming out on top. With a similar heavy beat as used in 'Wake Up', this track hammers along, accompanied by deep male spoken vocals that thankfully are not as cheesey as the title may suggest. This track is considerably harder and darker than Sunbeams previous tracks, although this isn't a bad thing. Future Breeze add a lengthy remix, keeping to the same format as the Club Mix although opting for a lighter bass line, as do the Harem Doctors - neither of these additional remixes compare to the power of the Club Mix but if you're not into anthemic trance then these will suit you better. Excellent stuff.

This is a bit harder than most of the Sunbeam tracks i've heard to date and lacks the usual uplifting vibe.

Sunbeam also records with the Trance Allstars. Probably one of his best tracks to date, Phoenix, features on the Trance Allstars debut compilation album 'World Wide'.
Sunbeam have remixed DJ Mellow-D's @ Night - don't miss this excellent anthem.
