12": Sensation - The Anthem 2003[7006775]
Released 2003 on ID&T Music. Written and produced by Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets (Rank 1). Additional remix and production on track 2 by Marcel Kaper and Martijn Cornelissen. Under the alias 'Sensation', Rank 1 have taken Mozart's Requiem and re-worked it into a powerful trance anthem. Both mixes are excellent, with the Orange Remix being the slightly tougher of the two. However, and this quite a big however, this isn't the first time Mozart's Requiem has been used in this fashion. Turn back the clocks a couple of years and the The Morrighan produced a superior trance cut under the title of 'Requiem', of which Sensations Original mix is a near direct copy. The Morrighan version, however, is more powerful and dramatic with the use of the haunting choirs from Mozarts original and an overall production quality that is far more polished. Given that The Morrighan's 'Requiem' was never released on vinyl (it only features on their live album on CD) then the Sensation mixes are worth getting as a poor mans second.

12": Sensation - The Anthem 2003 Remixes[7006905]
Released 2003 on ID&T Music. Written and produced by Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets (Rank 1). Addtional remix and production on track 1 by Igor S and on track 2 by Jaron Martinez and Robert Gitelman. Neither of these additional remixes inspire, with Igor S producing a slightly twisted techno version and Robert Gitelman sticking to the trance format of the original. Both pale against the original mixes by Sensation, which in turn pale against the The Morrighan's original version.
