CDS/12": Played-A-live (The Bongo Song)[CDAMPM141 / 12AMPM141]
Released 21/1/01 on AM/PM. Licensed from Universal Music (Denmark). Written by Morten Friis, Uffe Savery and Michael Parsberg. Produced by Safri Duo and Michael Parsberg. The Original Club Mix is a huge percussion based trance anthem that is currently being canned by the likes of Judge Jules. No doubt it will be played to death following its commercial release. The Nick Sentience Remix and Serious Remix both drop the anthem theme and toughen up the beats, going for the deep and progressive approach, with the latter sounding very experimental. On the vinyl version, DJ Tandu (Ayla) drops a solid trance beat behind the percussion, but fails to take the track in any particular direction. Stick to the Original Club Mix and you can't go wrong.

Tracks 4, 7 & 8 feature Clark Anderson. 3.0 is Safri Duo's third album, and its a very diverse and mixed bag, as always featuring heavily around their unique percussion drum style. The highlight of the album is Fallin' High, an uplifting, carnival fuelled number, which was also released as a CD single.

CDS: Safri Duo - Fallin' High[980 971-6]
Released 2003 on Universal Music (Denmark). All tracks produced and arranged by Safri Duo and Michael Parsberg. Additional remix and production on track 3 by J. Maiwald & T. Fiedler. 'Fallin' High' is a big 'n brassy carnival fuelled number featuring Safri Duo's hallmark clattery drums that is also the highlight of the '3.0' album. Featuring here as a rather efficient radio edit, and also in it's extended form, although whilst its nearly a minute longer than the album mix its essentially the same track and the changes to the structure are very subtle. The Steve Murano Remix is a deeper and more progressive electro-version, featuring a rather odd gating effect in parts of the track which doesn't do it any favours. Finally the Ambient Version is a glorious, spaced-out rendition based around the uplifting melody of the album mix.
