Quietman
The Quietman is Wilf Frost and L.P Elliot-Potter, with production from Friends, Lovers and Family (which were the duo's former guise). Their first single on Platipus Records, Plastic Gourd, came out way back in 1994 and now contributes to the Platipus Compilation Volume 2. A further two single releases followed, Now and Zen and The Sleeper (the former featuring on Platipus Compilation Volume 3 and the latter on Platipus Compilation Volume 4), and their debut album titled Shhhh, which features all three singles. Bringing us up to date, further remixes of Now and Zen and Celestial Body have been released.

Single: Now & Zen[PLAT26]
More top quality trance on the Platipus label, which happens to be the first release of the year ('97). Meditate is more of a euro-trancy little number, whilst Now & Zen is quite a bit harder, yet still very uplifting. This track was co-produced by Simon Berry (Art of Trance). A great single.

Single: The Sleeper[PLAT37]
Another storming release from the Quietman. I prefer the original mix here, which is another Euro-trancey number, that builds and breaks numerous times throughout the track. The Man With No Name adds a harder edge to the track, although I'd stick with the original.

Album: Shhhh[PLAT40CD]
The debut album from the Quietman, released in May '98 on Platipus, is a storming little number. On CD it comes equipped with a second "free" CD of ambient tracks engineered by Larry, whilst you only get the first disc of driving trance on vinyl. The first disc features all of the previous singles, and on top of that a selection of new quality tracks. A definite must for the CD collection.

Single: Now and Zen / Celestial Body[PLAT44 / PLAT44CD]
Released 11/98. Now and Zen gets a re-polish courtesy of German trance master Ralf Hildenbeutel (aka Earth Nation) - but its a rather weak affair compared to the original mix I'm afraid to say. However, over on the AA side Friends, Lovers and Family provide 9 minutes of medium paced melodic trance in the form of a storming remix of the ambient Celestial Body (the original of which is on the bonus CD of the Quietman debut album "Shhh").
