Mo' Horizons
Mo' Horizons are the producers, musicians and DJ's Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark ‘Foh’ Wetzler. On their first album ‘Come touch the sun’, which features Mo's first two 12"s 'Yes Baby Yes' and 'Foto Viva', the two masterminds melt influences ranging from the soulful fifties, sixties & funky seventies straight to the nineties. Integrating modern production techniques and a handful of talented live-musicians and vocalists they create a sound that varies in mood and style but is still homogenous and therefore can easily be identified as Mo’ Horizons. Nujazz, soul, afro, latin, funk, downbeat, dub, triphop or bigbeat: Mo’ Horizons break all boundaries and tear down all musical barricades. Edited from the Stereo Deluxe web site.

Album: Mo' Horizons - Come Touch The Sun[SD037]
Released 8/99 on Stereo Deluxe (Germany). Written and produced by Ralk Droesemeyer and Mark 'Foh' Wetzler. This is an essential album for all Lounge enthusiasts; a warm montage of mixed-tempo chilling material. Sun soaked samba beats and dreamy vocals stand side by side with acoustic guitars, 70's style funk, Latino flavoured rhythms and, not forgetting 'Fever 99°', where muted rants about jungle fever combine with a jazzy bigbeat percussion frenzy.

7": Mo' Horizons - Restyled[SD051]
Released 6/01 on Stereo Deluxe (Germany). Limited to 1000 copies. Written and produced by Ralk Droesemeyer and Mark 'Foh' Wetzler. Additional remix and production on track 1 by Nicola Conte with Gaetano Partipilo on flute and alto sax. Additional remix and production on track 2 by Dave 'The Sheikh' Hammond and Lutz 'Hammond' Krajenski. The remix of 'Foto Viva' by Nicola Conte is the more accessible of the two tracks here with sexy French vocals from Conte adding to a cheeky lounge backdrop. The NonMaterial Remix of 'Fever 99°' is a bit of a percussion frenzy, backed by a Hammond organ that really does go off on one - the original version of this track, which features on the album Come Touch The Sun, is far superior.

12": Mo' Horizons - Hit the Road Jack (pé na éstrada)[SD071]
Released 8/01 on Stereo Deluxe (Germany). Written and produced by Mo' Horizons. Additonal remix and production on track 2 by Skeewiff and on track 3 by the Non Material. I'm not overly keen on this one - the 60's classic by Ray Charles has had a Portuguese revamp and i'm not sure it works. Best of the bunch is the Skeewiff remix.
