Mauro Picotto
Mauro Picotoo is the label manager of BXR, and with Mario Pił co-ordinates the BXR Team, which is an avant-garde laboratory of sounds, melodies and ideas. "We gonna get" was his first track and it drove him till the top of the European charts. After the great successes of the tracks "We Got To Live Together" and "Just Take Me Higher" he began new collaborations, as remixer and producer of artists like Cappella, 49ers, Clubhouse, More and CRW. Among his great successes are "Bakerloo Symphony", "Lizard", "Pulsar" and the recent "Iguana". Released in seven different versions, "Iguana" received confirmations in the whole of Europe and featured at the top of the charts for several weeks. Among the collaborations are "Spectra", "Imperiale" and "Arabian Pleasure", with Mario Pił. His latest remixes included "See The Light" by Dumonde for the UK, and the world wide remixes of "Don't Laugh" by J. Wink, "Time To Burn" by Storm, "O.T.B." by York and "Running" by Tyrell Corp. CD Single: Proximus with Adiemus[587 884-2] | ||||||||||
Released 12/00 on Zeitgeist/Polydor Zeitgeist. Produced by M. Picotto. Arranged and mixed by M. Picotto, A. Remondini & R. Ferri. Executive producers: Gianfranco Bortolotti and Mauro Picotto. Features samples from 'Adiemus' by Adiemus. This has got to be Mauro Picotto's best track to date, taking the well known vocal of Mariam Stockly from the 'Adiemus' title track and putting it to good use in the breakdown of this track, plus also making a powerful build-up from a looping sample of the track, in a similar style to the powerful double AA trance remix of Adiemus's 'Kayama'. The 'BA' mix is by far the best version on this single, sounding very similar to the album version. The Picotto mix is very hard and less meladolic, whilst the Megavoices Claxixx mix, CRW mix, radio mix and club video mix all follow the same vibe, with a lot of familiar sounds from Picotto's other well known tracks.
