Lucky Monkeys

Who are the Lucky Monkeys? They don't give their names on the record cover, but their names are all over their music - they are otherwise known and loved as Fluke. They've only released two singles under this alias; the first was All Aboard on Lafayette Records in 1990, and the second was the more recent Bjango on the Hi-Life record label in '96.

The first single from the Lucky Monkeys in 1990 was this very hard to find 12" titled All Aboard on Lafayette Records. There are only two mixes, both of which are very similar sounding, i.e. early Fluke - Techno Rose kind of sound.

This '96 single is great, and is gonna be one of my favourite tunes of the year. The original mix is a cracking tune - very bouncy and spacey, very Fluke like. Fluke provide a corking remix as well, which sounds a bit like a military march!!...great stuff. And WOW's remixes ain't too bad either. An altogether great single that is a must.
