Lionrock
Lionrock is Justin Robertson, rapper M.C Buzz B and engineer Mark Stagg. Justin made fame from DJing and from a string of early singles and superb remixes including Erasure Snappy, TC1992 FunkyGuitar, The Grid Crystal Clear, The Shamen Boss Drum, Finitribe Forevergreen, React II Rhythm Intoxication, Lionrock Lionrock and Packet Of Peace.

Single: Lionrock the remixes
This '92 single was a smash hit in clubland. This is early Lionrock, which I personally favour over the recent material.

Single: Packet of Peace
More from the early Lionrock with what is now a classic single. It's hardly rapping from MC Buzz B, more spoken vocals. Its just been reworked as well....see below

Single: Carnival | |||
Another favourite of mine. The guide is also included on the album. Released '93.

Single: Tripwire | |||
Its track number three that does it for me on this single. The Prankster at full throttle in this trancey '94 Whirl-Y-Gig fave.

Single: Straight At Yer Head
Jetting into'96 Straight At Yer Head is Lionrock's offering that accompanied the debut album An Instinct For Detection. The title track is a dubby tripped out little number, while the old favourite Packet of Peace gets some reworking courtesy of Jeff Mills and the Chemical Bro's - I prefer the original versions myself.

Single: Fire Up The Shoesaw
Rolling bassline, buzzin guitars, massive breakbeat and MC Buzz B add to this funky number while the discotheque mix is a struttin', jackin' hipshaking world of melodic, funky discohouse. I think bizarre sums up this single quite nicely.

Single: Project Now | |||
As the cover states - "Four slices of Rude Boy Music to put a crease in your step."
