Kaya Project

Sebastian Taylor is well known for his psy-trance projects Shakta and Somaton, but also for his drum ‘n’ bass influenced psy like his Digitalis project. With Momi Ochion he has released three albums under the Angel Tears moniker on the Master Production label, mixing world music with Middle Eastern inspired electronica. Kaya Project is his latest project, out on the Canadian Interchill Records label.

Tracks 2, 4 & 11 co-written by Natasha Chamberlain. Kaya Project's debut album is a breath of fresh air in a relatively stale global chill-out / ethno-lounge market. The Turkish and Middle Eastern influences shine through, as do the live instrumentation and acoustic elements, fusing effortlessly with Western electronica & production. An absolute must for any ambient dance collection.
