Heliopolis
Heliopolis, now known as "Matareya", was probably the home of the first Ancient Egyptian priests, located on the east bank of the Nile. It was here that one the most ancient, and well-documented, proof of religious authority existed. It was also here that one of the first science and learning centres in the world existed, a centre in which engineers, physicians, accountants, practised and taught, even though they were all identified as priests. And Kintamani is a mountain resort in Bali over looking Lake Batur.
That's enough history and geography for one day....Heliopolis is also found a little closer to home on Nation Records.

Released 1994 on Nation Records. Written and produced by Heliopolis (Transglobal Underground). 'Kintamani' was the only release (as far as I know) by TGU under the Helipolis moniker. Its a wonderful tribal trancer, with two mixes worth writing home about - the Hanoman's Forest Mix and the Cryogenic Mix, both of which are full on dance floor, drum laden stompers. The Philadelphia Experiment Mix is, as the title suggests, a tad on the experimental side.
