CD Single: Degeneration - Una Musica Senza Ritmo[TBCD2172]
Released 2001 on Tommy Boy Silver (USA). Written and produced by W. Merziger, A. Lercara and F. Kessler. This CD single features the original '92 version of Una Musica Senza Ritmo - I wasn't aware that this track was so old up until getting this single. However, the original version is very pop orientated, plus the female "vocals" really make this sound dated. York adds cute guitar licks giving it their stereotypical York sound, although this is nothing inspiring, whilst Ayla deliver an appalling remix, keeping the full female vocal of the original and pumping up the cheese factor. 'That Kid' is the first remix to break away from the tired formula, giving a hard industrial edge to the track, although this remix fails to deliver. The best of the bunch on this single is the John Johnson Remix which is a deep trance version, where pounding beats add to a highly repetitive male vocal stating 'Una Musica Senza Ritmo' - this is 5AM dance floor material!

12": Degeneration - Una Musica Senza Ritmo[ALUK003 / ALUK004]
Released 11/2000 as 2 x 12" on Alphabet City UK. Written and produced by W. Merziger, A. Lercara and F. Kessler. I've only got the first 12" of this release - I'm still looking for the other vinyl. Head straight for the Condor Remix which is a big trance anthem track, although slightly cheesey. Over on the flip the York Remix is a little formulaic and bland in comparison.
