| 12": DJ Energy & Tatana - End of Time[ALIEN011]
Released 1/2000 on Alien Recordings. Written and produced by DJ Energy, Tatana, Torsten Stenzil and Ray Boye. This is a superb trancer - after a rather average intro the track cuts into a very powerful, uplifting melody and the track really takes off.

Released 3/2000 on Data Recordings. Written and produced by DJ Energy, Tatana, T. Stenzel, R. Boye. Lyrics and vocals by V. Guzman. Ministry of Sound have snapped up this anthem that was originally released on earlier this year. The cuts that feature here are the excellent Extended Polaris Mix, which can only be faulted on its rather lengthy breakdown; it just goes too quiet for too long - everyone on the dancefloor thinks the DJ has gone to sleep and left the record to run out. However, flip over onto the other side and check out the Lost Witness Remix, the same guys who released the rather commercial sounding Red Sun Rising last year on Ministry of Sound; here the beat is more acidic and its got this riff that sounds slightly like part of Energy 52's 'Cafe del Mar'. Overall this remix is less anthemic but has more substance than any of the original mixes and makes for.

Released 2002 on Energetic Records. Written and produced by Roger Beglinger and Marco Guardia. A fantastic release by DJ Energy featuring three very diverse mixes. The original version is my personal favourite, being a driving, slighter hard trancer with uplifting undertones, working well during peak time sets and late at night. The S.H.O.K.K Mix is considerably harder, although still very good, whilst the Mark Guard Mix is a totally bizarre remix, again quite hard with a bouncy military type march beat, whilst at the same time managing to be both minimalist and hypnotic. An excellent range of mixes and an essential purchase.
