Bluprint
James Millman, Jamie Adam and Christian Wilson met five years ago as students studying Music Technology and Performing Arts and soon after began playing together. They appeared in various outfits playing Acid Jazz, Funk and Rare Groove sounds. Their individual need to embrace creative technology in the form of sampling and programming while still keeping a strong emphasis on the ‘Live performance’ led quickly to the formation of ‘Bluprint’. Bluprint formed two and a half years ago as a vehicle for these three musicians/producers to experiment with samples and sequences with live instrumentation to produce a unique sound incorporating elements of jazz, hard edge latin breaks and chilled rolling beats with sweeping rolling atmospheric soundtracks. The Bluprint sound pays homage to a wide and diverse base of influences from current musicians producers such as Jazzanova, IG Culture, Outside and Incognito; Jazz masters Herbie Hancock and Billy Cobham to movie score/soundtrack composers Lalo Schifrin and Trevor Horn.
