Single: Seven Days and One Week
Seven Days... has to be the club tune of '96. Everybody is playing it, cos its f**kin brillient. One of the most uplifting progressive house tunes i've heard in a long time. Hypnose is a long build-up, looping tribal kind of thing. This single is a must. Also available, alas only on expensive import here in the UK, are the Remixes of Seven Days and One Week [Code 575 631-2]
Okay...so they don't compare to the original club version, but what
the hell. I especially like the funked up M&M's remix which has added
cheesyness. The Now! remix keeps the original mix virtually intact,
getting straight to the point with the uplifting bit playing all the
way through the track.

Single: Flash | |||
Great new track (3/97) from BBE. Its a
stomping club hit, which equals, if not betters, Seven Days.
Both mixes dished up on disc one are great. Get this single! On
disc two, we get another copy of Flash (the radio edit -
blink and you'll miss it!), but more importantly, is Photo, which is a great bonus track. Very Euro-trancy and bouncy, with a lovely Spanish guitar playing through out.
The remixes of Seven Days are good, but still don't compare
to the original club mix. Nice try boys.

Single: Desire | |||
The first release from BBE in 1998 and taken from the debut album Games. Needlessly spread again over two discs, with the second disc a waste of space (and cash) if you already own the previous singles - if not then its worth investing in. The star of the remixes here is the Age of Club mix on disc on, which is yet another example of BBE's sublime, melodic uplifting trance. Wonderful, and a must for the CD/record collection.

Album: Games | |||
After three successive superb singles, the debut album from BBE is now (2/98) on the shop shelves. It so easily could have been Seven Days and One Week, Flash and Desire in a different box, padded out with a few new bits of tuneful fodder....but oh no......not this album. In fact, the bulk of the album is new material, with the three previous singles reduced to their radio edits, making way for an aural assault of trance laden euphoric beats and dreamlike melodies. To prove this point further, Photo and Hypnose, the additional tracks that featured on the previous singles, don't even get a look-in here. And the whole album isn't just Seven Days... in seven different guises. The first three tracks are all blinding and original and start the album off on a good foot. Woodwind orchestra's and Spanish guitars combine with the usual piano melodies that have become a BBE trademark. The middle part of the album is intermingled with short haunting ambience, choirs and Orb like samples, acquainting old friends (Seven Days, Flash and Desire), whilst the latter half of the album offers BBE in a new light, with elements of Drum and Bass creeping into the formula, helping to prevent the album from becoming repetitive and tiring. This album is a true corker and is a definite must for the album collection. If uplifting trance/progressive house happens to be your little niche in the music world, then this is for you. I'm not going to harp on any more about it - just buy it!

12": BBE - Seven Days and One Week[12AD044]
Released 9/99 on Additive Records. Written by Bruno Sanchioni and Bruno Quartier. Produced by Emmanual Top. Two new remixes of this Balearic classic that originally graced the dance floors back in '96. The Kai Tracid Remix sticks to the original uplifting theme and succeeds to some degree in breathing some new life into the old classic. However, the lengthy DJ Moguai Remix by DJ Moguai and Phil Fuldner is an attempt at a more varied/diverse remix. Guaranteed the former will be getting all the airplay.
