Angélique Kidjo
Angélique Kidjo was born in Benin ,the birthplace of voodoo. In West Africa, voodoo is not the cult of evil it's suppose to be. It's a religion that support day to day life, with an incredible variety of characters, gods and goddesses. I'm not gonna argue with that!

CDS: Adouma[74321 20567 2] | ||
Released 1994 on Mango Records. Additional remix and production on track 3 by The Shamen. Taken from the '94 album 'Aye'. The Shamen 12" remix of this track is one of my all time favourites, and is a oldie from the Whirl-Y-Gig playlist from the Shoreditch era. Well worth hunting this one out. Thanks to Brian Harris for this information.

Single: Wombo Lombo | ||
This single ('96) is taken
from the album Fifa and is spread over two singles, the
second being a limited edition affair.
Its quite a fun track; funky-tap-your-foot-along-to music with the
doo-doo-do-do-doo lyrics to sing along too. The more I listen
to this, the more I like it. The first disc, which
contains the best selection of mixes which have been tampered with by
Junior Vasquez, is the better buy of the two. Whilst the Club mix
still contains the vocals, the Tribal Beats mix concentrates on
being a rhythm type track which will have u leaping around in no time.
The extended African Club mix combines the best qualities of
these two mixes, resulting in a really catchy/danceable to tune.
